Breakthrough health treatment: For the past decade, Plasvacc has been at the forefront internationally in developing high-purity plasma therapy products for livestock, including horses. Dr Ross Wilson, Plasvacc’s co-founder and chief scientific officer, says it’s the quality control of the company’s product that appeals to breeders of high-quality thoroughbreds. “Plasma-based products can augment conventional treatments by shortening the course of treatment and reducing the need for post-operative rehabilitation,” Dr Wilson said. The company has been featured by the Queensland Government as one of its shining stars in promoting the state’s bio-tech industry. Plasvacc is now one of the largest equine plasma suppliers in the US
